In the last couple of days, our little town of Steamboat has garnered a couple of interesting awards; one from the Smithsonian and one from USA Today Travel.  The first one lists Steamboat as one of the top small towns to visit in the United States.  Coming in at #4 is no surprise to the locals!

The other award from USA Today Travel rates Steamboat as one of the top Spring Break destinations.

The prices for the next season Steamboat ski passes have just been announced.  It’s a $50 increase from this year for a total cost of $999 if you buy it in the early season.  They are increasing the number of nights that you can night ski and also upping the price of that add-on to $59 for the year.  In addition you now also get $250 Intrawest Snow Bucks that you can use for tickets or lodging at any Intrawest resort.  These resorts include: Winter Park, Stratton, Mont Tremblant, Snowshoe, Canadian Mountain Holidays, Honua Kai (Maui), and Club Intrawest.
