This is when the skiers would be at the top of the mountain and ski patrol would literally drop the rope so that early-bird skiers could hit the first tracks. Instead, the line now forms at the base of the ski lifts where skiers start the morning off waiting for Thunderhead Express, Christy Express or the Silver Bullet Gondola.
