Sunshine Kids benefit and Tour De Steamboat are huge sucess

Thank you to everyone involved in the Tour de Steamboat and the Sunshine Kids pre-ride benefit dinner. The event was a huge success attended by more than 250 people and well-exceeded our goal of raising $65,000 from the entire Tour de Steamboat event- thus for the first time covering the entire cost of Sunshine Kids’ Annual Steamboat Winter Games trip.

Friday night was the pre-ride dinner and silent auction which sold out in record time. Special thanks to all those that dedicated time and prizes to the event. Prizes came from all over and included everything from Broncos tickets, to catered dinners, to a Palm Springs vacation to custom titanium bike frame.

Saturday morning was the start of the ride. Riders participated in a 110 mile ride, a 40 mile ride, or the new short course which is about 26 miles. It was amazing to see the number of riders on the road and the camaraderie between all. The ride was followed by a post-ride BBQ and a lot of rest and relaxation.

All-in-all the event was a great success and we look forward to seeing the Sunshine Kids in the near future.
